Preview: Four gymnasts to compete at NCGA Championship

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Four Blugolds are set to compete at the 36th Annual National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship on Saturday, hosted by UW-Oshkosh at the Kolf Sports Center.

Kiya Bjorge (Sr. - Kennewick, WA/Southridge) and Amelia Moorehouse (Sr. – Gregory, MI/FlexTech) will compete on the floor exercise while Hannah Lewis (Sr. – Saline, MI) and Ashley Benes (So.- Grand Rapids, MN) will compete on the uneven parallel bars and vault, respectively.

The Blugolds will rotate with UW-Stout. Lewis will compete on the second rotation, Bjorge and Moorehouse on the fifth and Benes on the sixth and final rotation.

Competition for the team and five individual titles (all-around, balance beam, floor exercise, uneven bars and vault) begins at 4 p.m.

Individuals finishing first through 10th (and ties) in the all-around competition receive All-America First Team recognition. Individuals placing first through sixth (and ties) in each event category are All-America First Team while individuals finishing seventh through 12th (and ties) are All-America Second Team.
