Erickson earns All-American honors at NCGA Championships

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (Blugolds.com) – In the opening day of the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championships, Blugold Tori Erickson (Sr. – Woodbury, MN) earned All-American honors after taking third place in the All-Around.

Erickson tallied a total score of 38.375 and recorded scores of 9.650 on vault, 9.350 on the uneven parallel bars, 9.650 on the balance beam and 9.725 on the floor exercise. The senior recorded a personal best on vault, which also ranks second in program history. Her overall total is second only to her record-breaking 38.400 at the Seattle Invite where she broke the school record back in January.

Erickson will compete on the beam, vault and floor in the individual championships on Saturday, as will Megan Fayler (So. - Afton, MN/Stillwater) (bars), Hannah Lewis (Jr. – Saline, MI) (bars) and Ashley Benes (Fr. – Grand Rapids, MN) (vault).
