WINONA, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – Hannah Lewis (Jr. – Saline, MI) shined as the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team competed at Winona State University on Thursday night, tying the school record on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.650.
Despite the top performance, the Blugolds still fell to the Warriors 183.325 to 182.125.
Following Lewis' career-best on bars was Megan Fayler (So. - Afton, MN/Stillwater) who was second with a 9.600.
Eau Claire also claimed the top spots on the vault as Ashley Benes (Fr. – Grand Rapids, MN) and Tori Erickson (Sr. – Woodbury, MN) finished first and second with scores of 9.500 and 9.425.
Erin Hillegonds (Fr. – Washington, IL) turned in a personal best on beam to take second in the event (9.125) while Sydney Dame (Fr. – Clinton Township, MI) had a career high on beam, placing third (9.100).
Erickson tied for second with a 9.525 to lead Eau Claire on the floor exercise and finished with an all-around score of 36.000.
