Erickson wins second-straight All-Around, Blugolds finish 2nd overall

LA CROSSE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Tori Erickson (Sr. – Woodbury, MN) had another stellar night for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team at the Gershon Invite on Friday, winning the all-round for the second-straight meet.

Results

Erickson, who set a new school record in the all-round last week, tallied the seventh highest score in program history with a 37.500. The senior finished tied for second on the balance beam (9.550) tied for third on the floor exercise (9.600), fourth on vault (9.500) and 11th on the uneven parallel bars (8.850).

Lauralynn Anderson (Jr. – West Bend, WI/homeschool) also has a successful night, recording a season-best on beam with a 9.500, putting her in a tie for fourth place.

Megan Fayler (So. - Afton, MN/Stillwater) led Eau Claire on bars, tallying a 9.475 while Kiya Bjorge (Jr. - Kennewick, WA/Southridge) also tied for third on floor with a 9.600.

Host UW-La Crosse won the meet with an overall team score of 189.600 while Eau Claire was second (183.750) and Gustavus Adolphus College third (179.875).
