
MENOMONIE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team competed at UW-Stout on Friday night, falling to the Blue Devils 186.575-185.475.
Despite the loss, the Blugolds turned in their highest team score of the season and had several top performances on the night.
Megan Fayler (So. - Afton, MN/Stillwater) won the uneven parallel bars with a season-high 9.600, placing her third in program history in the event.
Tori Erickson (Sr. – Woodbury, MN) also in a career-best on her way to winning on beam, scoring a 9.725, which also is third in Blugold history.
In total, seven Blugolds set new career bests on the evening:

Hannah Lewis (Jr. – Saline, MI) – floor – 9.200
Clare Mascia (Jr. – Woodbury, MN/Convent of the Visitation) – bars – 9.100
Kiya Bjorge (Jr. - Kennewick, WA/Southridge) – floor – 9.600
Lauralynn Anderson (Jr. – West Bend, WI/homeschool) – bars – 9.500
Sydney Dame (Fr. – Clinton Township, MI) – bars – 9.275
Bailee Espelien (Sr. – Grand Forks, ND) – vault – 9.225
The Blugolds will continue their 2018 campaign next Friday as the travel to the west coast to compete in the Seattle Invite in Seattle, WA.
