Olson places fourth at NCGA Individual Championship

MENOMONIE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Erin Olson (Sr. – Faribault, MN/Shattuck-St. Mary's) represented the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team at the 2017 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Individual Championship on Saturday, placing fourth on the floor exercise.

Results

Olson recorded a score of 9.7250, setting a personal best to end her senior season.

In addition, Olson, Sarah Engstrom (Sr. – Chesterton, IN/homeschooled), Bailey Peter (Sr. – Wausau, WI,D.C. Everest), Emily Van Krevelen (Sr. – Andover, MN/Roseville), Lauren Zurowski (Sr. – Greenfield, WI/Whitnall) earned the NCGA All-American in Academics Award, which is presented to each gymnast who maintains a 3.0 overall grade point average (GPA) and who name appears on the team's NCGA squad list for the current year. Each nominee must qualify as a senior student academically and be in her last year of athletic eligibility.
