OSHKOSH, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team traveled to UW-Oshkosh on Friday night, defeating the Titans by a score of 185.200-184.925.
The Blugolds were led by Lauren Zurowski Sr. – Greenfield, WI/Whitnall) who earned a first place finish on the floor exercise with a score of 9.550. The senior was also the top Blugold on the uneven parallel bars, taking second with a 9.550.
Hannah Lewis (So. – Saline, MI) finished third on the bars with a 9.450 while Megan Fayler (Fr. – Afton, MN/Stillwater) was fourth with a 9.375.
Lauralynn Anderson (So. – West Bend, WI/home school) led Eau Claire on the balance beam, placing third with a 9.400 while Becca Wilcox (Jr. – Roseville, MN/Cretin-Derham Hall) was fifth with a 9.300. Wilcox also led the Blugolds on the vault, tying for third with a 9.400.
The Blugolds will be back at home next week as they host UW-Stout and Gustavus Adolphus for the Blugold Invite. The action begins at 6:30 p.m. in the McPhee Center.
