Women's Gymnastics takes fourth at Harley Davidson Invite

WHITEWATER, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team competed at the Harley Davidson Invitational Friday night, taking fourth place with a score of 185.075.

Results

Host UW-Whitewater won the meet with a score of 188.900 while Southeast Missouri was second at 187.575 and Winona State third with 186.850.

Kiya Bjorge (So. Kennewick, WA/Southridge) was the top Blugold in the vault with a score of 9.375, putting her in a three-way tie for sixth place. On the uneven parallel bars, Megan Fayler (Fr. – Afton, MN/Stillwater) led the way with a 9.475 to place eighth.

Lauralynn Anderson (So. – West Bend, WI/home school) finished in a tie for ninth place on the beam, tallying a score of 9.400 while Erin Olson (Sr. – Faribault, MN/Shattuck-St. Mary's) and Lauren Zurowski Sr. – Greenfield, WI/Whitnall) tied for 10th on the floor exercise, recording scores of 9.550.

The Blugolds will be back in action next Friday as they travel to Winona State to take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m.
