EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team kicked off the 2015-16 season with a home invitational, placing third with 184.375.
Division I Central Michigan won the meet with a score of 193.600 while University of Wisconsin-Whitewater was second with 186.700 and Winona State fourth with 183.525.
Liz Stubbs (Sr.-Wayzata, MN) and Lauren Zurowski (So.-Greenfield, WI/Whitnall) led the Blugolds on the night as Stubbs placed seventh on the balance beam with a score of 9.650 and Zurowski was eighth on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.350.
The Blugolds will be back in action Friday as they travel to Missouri to compete at Lindenwood University.
