EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team hosted Gustavus Adolphus Friday night and defeated the Gusties 185.925 to 178.300.
The Blugolds dominated on three of four events, placing in the top four in both the balance beam and floor exercise and top five on the uneven parallel bars. In the vault, Gustavus claimed the top spot but Eau Claire took second through fifth.
Elizabeth Stubbs (Jr.-Wayzata, MN) won both the floor exercise and balance beam with scores of 9.675 and 9.350, respectively.
Julia Stedman (Jr.-Maplewood, MN) was second on the vault with a score of 9.525 and second on floor with a 9.550.
Bailey Peter (Fr.-Wausau, WI) scored a personal best on the uneven parallel bars, winning the event with a 9.375.
Tori Erickson (Fr.-Woodbury, MN) finished second in the all-around, scoring a 9.225 on the vault, 9.025 on bars, 9.325 on beam and 8.700 on floor.
The Blugolds will travel to Hamline next Friday to compete against Hamline and UW-La Crosse.
