ST. PAUL, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team edged Hamline Saturday night, winning 181.450 to 180.625.
The Blugolds took the top spots in three of the four events. In the uneven parallel bars, Eau Claire finished 1-2-3, with Tori Erickson (Fr.-Woodbury, MN) winning with a score of 9.425. Lauren Zurowski (Fr.- Greenfield, WI) was second scoring 9.400 and Jessica Dhaene (So.-Stacy, MN/Forest Lake Area) was third with a score of 9.275.
On the balance beam, Elizabeth Stubbs (Jr.-Wayzata, MN) claimed the top spot with a 9.575 while Becca Wilcox (Fr.-Roseville, MN) was second scoring 9.275.
On the floor exercise, Stubbs had another top finish, winning with a 9.675. Julia Stedman (Jr.-Maplewood, MN./North St. Paul)followed in second place, scoring 9.525.
Stedman was also second on the vault, tallying a 9.450 while Dez Stanton was third with a 9.350.
The Blugolds will be at home Friday, February 20 as the host Gustavus at 6:30 p.m. in the McPhee Center.
