Gymnastics Sets School Record in Loss to Centenary

SHREVEPORT, La. – (Blugolds.com) – Despite setting a school record with a team score of 187.850, the UW-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team lost to Centenary College of Louisiana on Friday night. Centenary needed a season-high score of 190.325 to defeat the Blugolds.

Elizabeth Stubbs (Jr.-Wayzata, MN) won the floor exercise with a score of 9.750 while Julia Stedman (Jr.-Maplewood, MN./North St. Paul) tied for second with a 9.700 and took fourth in the vault with a 9.550.

In the uneven parallel bars, Bailey Peter (Fr.-Wausau, WI) finished third, scoring a 9.425 and Leah Robinette (Jr.-Woodbury, MN) was fifth with a 9.350.

The Blugolds will be back in action next Friday as they travel to Minnesota to for a dual meet with Hamline University.
