Blugold Gymnastics Edged by Titans

OSHKOSH, Wis. (blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team narrowly lost to UW-Oshkosh, losing by less than a point at the Kolf Sports Center Friday night.

The Blugolds scored 182.500 points while the Titans tallied 183.375 for the win.

Elizabeth Stubbs (Jr.-Wayzata, MN) led the Blugolds, winning the floor exercise with a 9.750. Stubbs also took third in the balance beam with a 9.350, recording the top finish for Eau Claire in the event.

Julia Stedman (Jr.-Maplewood, MN) and UW-Oshkosh's Emily Ryan tied for first in the vault, with each gymnastic earning a score of 9.375.

In All-Around results, Titan Krystal Walker won with a score of 37.550 while Blugold Tori Erickson (Woodbury, MN) finished with a score of 36.375.

The Blugolds will be back in action Friday, January 23 when the travel to Winona, Minn. to take on Winona State.
