Women's Golf in 10th after Round 1 of Wartburg Invite

WAVERLY, Iowa (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team was finally able to hit the links on Saturday as they traveled to Iowa for the Wartburg College Spring Invite. After one round of play, the Blugolds are in 10th place.

Round 1 Results

The Blugolds turned in a team score of 354 in the first round while Carleton College leads the field with a 321 at Prairie Links Golf Course.

 Allison Chomniak (Jr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrrowhead) led UW-Eau Claire with an 83 (+11) which puts her in a tie for 20th overall.

Jessica Rudnicki (Fr. - Sun Prairie, WI) turned in an 87 and is tied for 33rd while Ashli Stolen (Jr. – Stoughton, WI) shot an 89 and is tied for 45th.

The Blugolds will look to move up the leaderboard Sunday in the second and final round.
