STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team is in fourth place after round one of the Mad Dawg Invitational, hosted by UW-Stevens Point at the Stevens Point Country Club.
The Blugolds recorded a team score of 338 (+46) in the first round with Allison Chomniak (Jr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrrowhead) and Ashli Stolen (Jr. – Stoughton, WI) leading the way, both shooting an 82 (+9) and are tied for eighth place overall.
Molly Lattery (Sr. – Poplar, WI/Northwestern) is tied for 16th with an 85 (+12) while Jessica Rudnicki (Fr. - Sun Prairie, WI) is tied for 31st with a 90. Megan Glaeser (Fr. – Freedom, WI/Fox Valley Lutheran) followed with a 91 and is tied for 40th.
The Blugolds will look to move up the leaderboard Sunday in the second and final round.
