Women's Golf finishes second at Georgianni Invite, Chomniak finishes fifth

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team finished in second place at the Georgianni Blugold Invite held at the Wild Ridge Golf Course.

The Blugolds turned in a team score of 334 for round two to finish at 678 while Gustavus Adolphus College took the team title with a score of 658.

Allison Chomniak (Jr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrrowhead) was the top Blugold finisher, placing fifth overall, shooting an 80 on the day to finish at 166.

Ashli Stolen (Jr. – Stoughton, WI) and Molly Lattery (Sr. – Poplar, WI/Northwestern) followed, tying for sixth place with a two-round total of 169. Lattery shot an 81 on Monday's final round while Stolen tallied an 87.

Megan Glaeser (Fr. – Freedom, WI/Fox Valley Lutheran) shot an 86 on her way to a tie for 13th (174) and Anna Uzpen (Fr. – Osceola, WI) tied for 23rd, shooting a 97 (186).

Competing as individuals, Whitney Demoe (Fr. – Colfax, WI) finished 16th with an 88 (180), Jessica Rudnicki (Fr. – Sun Prairie, WI) tied for 17th with a 93 (182) and Abbie Ter Maat (So. – Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) was 26th with a 95 (189).

Eau Claire will be back on the links Saturday, Sept. 16-17 for the Division III Classic in Lake City, Minn. Follow the action on Blugold Game Day.
