Women's Golf in 2nd after Round 1 of Georgianni Invite

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team is in second place after round one of the Blugold Georgianni Invite held at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club.

The Blugolds turned in a team score of 344 while Gustavus Adolphus College leads the field with a score of 328.

Ashli Stolen (Jr. – Stoughton, WI) led the way for UW-Eau Claire, turning in a score of 82 and is tied for second place.

Allison Chomniak (Jr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrrowhead) followed with an 86 and sits in 11th place.

Molly Lattery (Sr. – Poplar, WI/Northwestern) and Megan Glaeser (Fr. – Freedom, WI/Fox Valley Lutheran) shot an 88, putting them in a tie for 12th while Anna Uzpen (Fr. – Osceola, WI) is tied for 16th with an 89.

Two Blugolds competing as individuals also had strong rounds as Jessica Rudnicki (Fr. – Sun Prairie, WI) is also tied for 16th with an 89 and Whitney DeMoe (Fr. – Colfax, WI) is tied for 20th with a 92.

Eau Claire will finish the second and final round Monday at Wild Ridge Golf Course. Follow the action on Blugold Game Day.
