Women Golfers Sit in Sixth Place Through Day 1 of UW-Whitewater Fall Classic

DELAVAN, Wis. - (blugolds.com) - After the opening day of the UW-Whitewater Fall Classic held at the Delbrook Golf Course, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team currently rests in sixth place on the leaderboard.

Round 1 Results

As a team, UW-Eau Claire shot a 346. Leading the charge with an individual score of 84, Allison Chomniak's (So.-Pewaukee, WI/Arrowhead) 11-over-par is good for a spot tied for seventeenth in the field. One stroke back sits both Katie Moore (Sr.-Woodbury, MN) and Hallie Hancock (Jr.-Eau Claire, WI/North), whose 85 has them tied for twenty-third place.

Carthage College's team score of 318 tops the leaderboard after round one.

The Blugolds finish up the Invitational with round two beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
