Women's Golf in second after round one of Georgianni Blugold Invite

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team is in second place after completing round one of the Georgianni Blugold Invitational at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club.

Day 1 Results 

The Blugolds turned in a team score of 341 (+53), just two strokes behind Gustavus Adolphus. Eau Claire's Allison Chomniak (So.-Pewaukee, WI/Arrowhead) led the field individually with a score of 76 (+4).

"I was very pleased to see Allison Chomniak fire a great round today," said Head Coach Courtney Everett. "I think she's finally found her rhythm this season to help the team have top finishes. I'm ready to see the Blugolds compete tomorrow and fight to the finish line."

Meghan Lange (Jr.-Green Bay, WI/Southwest) also turned in a strong performance for the Blugolds, shooting an 85 (+13) which puts her third overall.
