Women's Golf finishes fifth at Wartburg Invitational

WAVERLY, Iowa (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team finished fifth at the Wartburg Invitational on Sunday, turning in a team score of 696.

Results

Katie Moore (Jr.-Woodbury, MN) led the Blugolds with a 12th place finish after shooting an 83 on Sunday for an overall score of 166. Molly Lattery (So.-Poplar, WI/Northwestern) followed with an 85, putting her in a tie for 15th and an overall score of 168. Allison Chomniak (Fr.-Pewaukee, WI/Arrowhead) also finished in the top 25, tying for 23rd after turning in a 90 on Sunday to finish with a 176.

"The girls played pretty consistent the past two days but we really are going to have to step up our games this spring," said Head Coach Courtney Everett. "I know the girls can play better. This week we will just have to reassess."

Eau Claire will travel to Victoria, Minn. next weekend to play in the Royal Match at the Deer Run Golf Club.
