Women's Golf Finishes Second at WIAC Championships

NEKOOSA, Wis. (blugolds.com)-The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team finished second overall with a total three-day team score of 1039 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships at Lake Arrowhead Golf Course.

Results

Katie Moore (Jr. – Woodbury, MN) took fourth place after shooting an 84 on the final round, bringing her tournament total to 249. Katy Bolduc (Jr. – Lake City, MN) and Meghan Lange (So.-Green Bay, WI/Southwest) finished 10th and 11th, turning in overall scores of 259 and 261, respectively. Lauren Gaffney (Sr. – Portage, WI) finished tied for 17th with a score of 270, while Allison Chomniak (Fr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrowhead) was 34th with an even 300.

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh claimed the team title and the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship that will be conducted May 10-13, 2016 in Houston, Texas. The Titans secured the crown with 992 strokes. Titan McKenzie Paul was the individual champion, winning with 232 strokes.
