Women's Basketball dominates Beloit College, 76-40

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's basketball turned in a dominating performance on Sunday afternoon, defeating Beloit College 76-40 at the Music City Classic.

With a 24-14 advantage after the first quarter, the Blugold offense kicked into high-gear, outscoring Beloit 20-8 in the second quarter and 22-7 in the third.

Three Blugolds finished in double figures, led by Kelsey Bakken's (Jr. – Marshall, WI) 16. Hallee Hoeppner (Jr. – Winona, MN) also added 15 points and a game-high eight rebounds while Katie Essen (So. – Farmington, MN/Rosemount) chipped in 11 points.

Maddie Dunathan (Sr. – Hortonville, WI) also contributed a game-high six assists and along with Bakken, tallied a game-high four steals.

Eau Claire shot 48.5 percent (32-for-66) from the field while holding Beloit to 32 percent (16-for-50).
