Weather Forces another Postponement for Softball

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – After playing for the first time in nearly two weeks yesterday, the UW-Eau Claire softball team was forced to postpone its doubleheader against UW-Platteville due to snow in the La Crosse area today.

The Blugolds will now have a busy week coming up as they try to complete as many games as possible by the deadline of April 30, in which all regular-season conference games must be finished.

The non-conference games originally scheduled to be played at St. Norbert College on April 28 and the two games April 29 in Minnesota have been cancelled in an effort to complete the conference schedule.

The Blugolds are scheduled to play UW-River Falls at home Wednesday and then go to UW-Stout on Thursday to play a doubleheader that has already been postponed twice. They will also be at UW-Whitewater on Saturday. The Blugolds still need to make up games against UW-Oshkosh and UW-Platteville. They will host Platteville on April 28 in Eau Claire at 2 p.m. and will be at Oshkosh on April 30 at 3 p.m.
