EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Due to poor field conditions in the northern half of Wisconsin, the UW-Eau Claire softball team has announced schedule changes for April 4-7.
The Blugolds were originally scheduled to open home play Thursday (April 4) against Luther College (Iowa) but the doubleheader has been postponed with no makeup date available at this time.
Eau Claire will still be able to face two conference opponents, UW-Stevens Point and UW-Superior, but the games will be held in Platteville, Wis. The Blugolds were originally scheduled to play the Pointers Friday in Stevens Point and were supposed to host the Yellowjackets Sunday.
However, the Blugolds will now play UW-Stevens Point at 9 a.m. Saturday and at 11 a.m. Sunday. The Blugolds will take on UW-Superior at 11 a.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. All four games will be played at Pioneer Stadium on UW-Platteville's campus.
