EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's cross country team competed in the annual City Wells 5k on Friday. The Blugolds took first place, scoring a perfect 15 points in their dual meet with Viterbo.
Winning the race was Carl Lundgren (So. - Auburndale, Wis.) with a time of 16:07. The next Blugold to cross the line in second was Trevor LaMirande (Jr. - Dresser, Wis./St. Croix Falls) in 16:09.
Rounding out the race's top five were Ian Barnes (Fr. - Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove Community) in 16:14, Logan Meinert (So. - Andover, Minn.) in 16:16, and Caleb Boudreau (So. - Muskego, Wis.) in 16:18.
The Blugolds will be back in action at the WIAC Championships hosted by UW-La Crosse in West Salem, Wis., on October 29 at 1:00 p.m.
