Seven Blugolds earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors

NEW ORLEANS, LA (blugolds.com) – Seven University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire cross country student-athletes have been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region teams following the NCAA Division III Regional Championships.

Earning All-Region honors for the men's team was Connor Dolan (So. – Nekoosa, WI/Assumption), Wyatt Elmer (Sr. – Mankato, MN/Mankato Loyola) and Patrick Treacy (Sr. – Fall Creek, WI/Eau Claire Memorial).

For the women, Emma Drangstveit (So. – Lakeville, MN/Lakeville North), Morgan Marek (Sr. – Muskego, WI/Muskego), Sam Slattery (Jr. – Waunakee, WI/Waunakee) and Lexie Tremble (Jr. – Muskego, WI/Muskego) earned a spot on the All-Region team.

The Blugold women were the regional runner-up, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship meet while the men finished fourth and earned an at-large bid into the championship.

The NCAA championship will be hosted by UW-Oshkosh at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis. on Saturday, Nov. 17th. The women's race will start at 11:15 a.m. with the men following at 12:15 p.m.
