The Blugolds were led by Sid Gross (Fr. – Saint Paul, MN/Highland Park) who finished 7th with a time of 27:04.6. Gross said the course was challenging because of mud and hills, but he thought he ran the race smart.

"I thought I raced it really well by going out conservatively and catching up to the front of the pack after the prairie section," Gross said.

Gross said the Blugolds did a good job of racing smart against the depth of Wartburg.

Bailey Wilson (Jr. – New Richmond, WI/New Richmond) placed 9th with a time of 27:05.1. Wilson was followed by teammate Braxton Doucette (Fr. – Madison, WI/Madison La Follette) who placed 12th with a time of 27:11.7.

The top 5 for the Blugolds also included Chad Couser (So. – Rochester, MN/Rochester Mayo) and Harrison Redepenning (Jr. – Anoka,MN/Anoka). Couser placed 16th with a time of 27:22.5. Redepenning finished 17th with a time of 27:23.3.

Adam McMonagle (Fr. – Eagan, MN/Eagan) and Clay Quiring (So. – Webster, MN/Northfield High School) rounded out the top 7 for the Blugolds. McMonagle placed 18th with a time of 27:26.9. Quiring placed 21st with a time of 27:37.9.

Head Coach Dan Schwamberger was pleased with how everyone competed and is excited for next week's NCAA Regional meet.

The top 7 Blugolds will be racing next Saturday, November 10 at the NCAA Regional Meet. The meet will be hosted by UW-Eau Claire at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, WI.
