Men's Golf finishes 4th at Augustana Invite

SHERRARD, Ill. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team shot the second-lowest score on the final day of the Augustana Invite on Saturday, moving up from eighth place to finish in fourth.

Results

Brady Hanson (Jr.-Woodbury, MN/East Ridge) led the Blugolds with a 69, which tied for the lowest score of the day, to finish tied for third (148). Phillip Johnson (Fr.-Eagan, MN) tied for 15th with a score of 153 while Joey Dreier (Jr.-New London, WI) tied for 29th with a 158. Ryan Isaacson (So.-Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) and Nick Bauer (Fr.-Oshkosh, WI/North) finished tied for 62nd with scores of 164.

Indian Hills Community College won the invite with an overall score of 591 and were led by first place finishes by Jackson Bugdalski and Trevor Ullestad who finished with overall scores of 145.

"I'm really proud of how the Blugolds grinded it out today," said Head Coach Courtney Everett. "Each player had a great mindset heading into round two and they proved the Blugolds can come out swinging against a strong field."

Eau Claire will be back in action April 17 for the Bobby Krig Invitational at the Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, Minn.
