Fehler won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.921 seconds, three-thousandths of a second in front of the second-place finisher. Her preliminary time of 11.86 broke the Blugolds' old school record of 12.09 seconds, set by Jordanne Greenup on May 17, 2012 in La Crosse. Fehler is the first Blugold to win a women's outdoor track & field national title since 2009 and is the first in program history to win the 100-meter dash.

The Blugolds also had two runner-up finishes, both coming from the men.

Roger Steen (Jr.-Luck, Wis.) was second in the shot put with a distance of 17.21 meters (56-5.75). Brandon Zarnoth (Jr.-Appleton, Wis./North) finished in second place in the decathlon with 7,013 points, breaking his old school record of 6,860 points from nationals last season.

Additionally, the women's 4x400-meter relay team of Jessie Reineck (So.-Greenville, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran), Jessica Rupnow (So.-Sussex, Wis./Sussex-Hamilton), Sarah Glidden (Fr.-Greenville, Wis./Hortonville) and Steph Rouse (Jr.-Minnetonka, Minn./Hopkins) broke a school record by taking third place with a time of 3:44.28. The previous school record was set last year at nationals in La Crosse, a time of 3:46.76.

Matt Scott (Sr.-Kiel, Wis.) finished as an All-American, taking sixth place in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:49.72 while Greg Peterson (Jr.-Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) also claimed All-American status as he took seventh in the decathlon with 6,740 points.

As a team, the Blugold men tied for ninth place with 21 points while the women tied for 13th place with 16 points.
