MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire men's outdoor track & field member Matt Scott (Sr.-Kiel, Wis.) has been named this week's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today

At the Gina Relays in Hillsdale, Mich. on April 25, Scott broke a school record by more than three seconds in the 1,500-meter run, taking fifth place with a time of 3:47.56.  The time is also currently the best in NCAA Division III by over one second.
