Track & Field Places Second at Titan Challenge

OSHKOSH, Wis. (blugolds.com) In the Titan Challenge on Saturday in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, both the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's track and field teams placed second overall as a team.

Stefan Klechefksi (So.- River Falls, Wis.) won the 60m dash with a personal best mark of 6.83s. This time puts him second in school history in the event. Stefan also placed second in the 200m dash (22.08s), right behind teammate Colin McClowry (So. - Neenah, Wis.) who ran a personal best of 22.00s. These times put Colin and Stefan second and third in school history in the event.

Sticking with the sprints, senior, Megan Best (Sr. Oshkosh, Wis/West), ran a season best time in the 60m dash, 7.82s, finishing first overall.Sisters, Hannah Zastrow (Jr. - Spencer, Wis.) and Leah Zastrow (Fr. - Spencer, Wis.), continued their hot seasons as Hannah placed second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.81s and Leah won the pole vault with a height of 3.56m.

Yakob Ekoue (Sr. - Hopkins, Minn.) won the shot put with a personal record of 17.92m, continuing his undefeated season in the event. Yakob remains ranked #2 in the nation in the shot put.

The Titan Challenge served as a final tune-up for the conference championships which will be held at UW-Stout next Friday and Saturday.
