Men's Track & Field takes third at UWSP Invite

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's track and field team opened the indoor season with a third place finish at the Pointer Open on Saturday.

Results

UW-Stevens Point won the meet with 136.50 points while UW-Platteville was second with 95 and UW-Eau Claire third with 69.

Jimmy Paske won the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.92 while Hunter Henk was third, clocking in at 50.66. Paske teamed up with Xavier Motley, Kyle Groven and DJ Meagher in the 4x400 relay where they finished second with a time of 3:24.33.

Darin Lau took second in the mile run with a time of 4:17.34 while Jon Vodacek was third with a time of 4:20.25.

Dylan Cooper finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.68 while Aaron Zmolek was third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.92.

Matt DIetlin was second in the pole vault with a vault of 14-7.50 and finished third in the high jump after clearing 1.95 meters.

Jake Ottersen was third in the weight throw with a toss of 16.12 meters and TJ Lui was third in the triple jump with a leap of 12.74 meters.
