EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire tennis team earned another win on Saturday, defeating Wartburg 8-1.
In singles action, Kyle Hoffmann (Jr. Franklin, Wis.) won by scores of 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
Andrew Rust (Fr. Golden Valley, Minn.) tallied 6-1, 6-1 scores for the win at No. 3 and Michael Mauthe (So. Neenah, Wis.) won by score of 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4. Conrad Felten (So. Wausau, Wis.) and Andrew Dahl (Fr. Fort Atkinson, Wis.) also recorded wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, winning 6-0, 7-5 and 6-0, 6-1.
Hoffman and Dahl tallied another win at No. 1 doubles while Rust and Will Weyenberg (So. Neenah, Wis.)and Mauthe and Jordon Stevens (Jr. Woodbury, Minn.) won by a scores of 8-4 and 8-0 at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
The Blugolds will travel to Winona, Minn. Friday, April 10 to take on Luther College (IA) at 6 p.m.
