MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis saw their eight-game win streak come to an end on Saturday, falling to Cardinal Stritch, 1-8.
The lone Blugold victory was recorded by Jordon Stevens (Jr. Woodbury, Minn.) at number six singles, defeating Alef Guimaraes 6-3, 3-6, 10-8.
Andrew Rust (Fr. Golden Valley, Minn.) played a tough match at number three singles, narrowly falling to Raymond Weich, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6.
At the number one doubles slot, Andrew Dahl (Fr. Fort Atkinson, Wis.) and Kyle Hoffmann (Jr. Franklin, Wis.) lost a close match to the team of Fabio Perasso/Weich 9-8.
The Blugolds will be back in action Saturday as the travel to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for their spring break trip.
