SARTELL, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team went 1-1 Sunday at the Fitness Evolution Tennis Center in Sartell, Minn.

In the first match of the day, the Blugolds fell to St. Cloud, 7-2. Conrad Felten (So. Wausau, Wis.) and Andrew Dahl (Fr. Fort Atkinson, Wis.) notched wins for Eau Claire.

Felten defeated Nathanial Cherry 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) in number five singles while Dahl defeated Lucas Norbiato 7-6, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8).

Later in the day the Blugolds took on Macalester, coming away with a 6-3 victory.

Felten and Dahl won their second matches of the day with Felten defeating Sam Naden 7-5, 6-1 and Dahl defeating Perry Campbell 6-3, 6-3.

Also earning victories were Andrew Rust (Fr. Golden Valley, Minn.), tallying a win over Aiden Tirpack at number three singles (7-5, 7-5) and Michael Mauthe (So. Neenah, Wis.) recorded a 6-3, 6-0 win over Wilson Merrill.

In doubles action, the team of Kyle Hoffmann (Jr. Franklin, Wis.) and Dahl defeated Brian Utz and Tirpack, 8-4 at number one doubles. In number three doubles, Mauthe and Jordon Stevens (Jr. Woodbury, Minn.) defeated Carl Bergmann and Naden, 8-2.

The Blugolds (3-3) will travel to Green Bay Friday, February 20 and will compete against Wisconsin Lutheran and St. Norbert.
