Men's Tennis Dominates Bethany Lutheran

OWATONNA, Minn. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team put on a dominant performance Saturday, defeating Bethany Lutheran 9-0.

Kyle Hoffmann (Jr. Franklin, Wis.) defeated Jacob Kubler 6-1, 6-0 at number one singles.

At number two, Will Weyenberg (So. Neenah, Wis.) beat Andrew Jelken 6-2, 6-0.

Andrew Rust (Fr. Golden Valley, Minn.) defeated Brent Heflin 6-0, 6-3 at number three singles, while Michael Mauthe (So. Neenah, Wis.) claimed victory at number four singles over Carter Dahl 6-1, 6-1 at number four.

The winning continued at number five singles, with Conrad Felten (So. Wausau, Wis.) defeating DJ Jackson 6-1, 6-0.

Andrew Dahl (Fr. Fort Atkinson, Wis.) defeated Jason Buechler 6-2, 6-3 at number six singles.

The Blugolds' doubles teams found equal success on the court.

Hoffmann and Dahl defeated Jelken and Carter Dahl 8-2 at number one while Weyenberg and Rust fended off Jackson and Heflin 8-4 at number two.

The number three team of Jordon Stevens (Jr. Woodbury, Minn.) and Mauthe did not drop a single game against Buechler and Zach Carlson, winning 8-0.

The Blugolds return to action Sunday to face Grinnell in Rochester, Minn.
