Annie Ryder enters her tenth season as head coach for the swimming and diving team in 2023-24 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. 

The Blugolds have been successful at the WIAC and NCAA National level for Ryder and her staff accomplishing the following:

  • 17 All-Americans
  • 5 Conference records have been set
  • 22 men’s school records have been set
  • 10 men’s conference records have been set
  • 58 Individual WIAC Champions – men’s side
  • 47 Individual WIAC Champions – women’s side
  • 4-0 WIAC Dual meet record in 2021-2022
  • 4-0 WIAC Dual meet record in 2022-2023
  • At least one Blugold has qualified for the NCAA meet every year.
  • Had at least one All-American ever year for the past 9 years.

Coach Ryder has earned the following coaching accolades:

  • 2016 WIAC Women’s Coach of the Year 2016 & 2019
  • 2018 WIAC Men’s Coach of the Year
  • 2019 WIAC Women’s Coach of the Year
  • 2022 WIAC Men’s Coach of the Year

During the 2017-18 season, two Blugolds competed in the National Championships, Collin Miller (So.-Rochester, MN/Schaeffer Academy) and Dylan Glumac-Berberich (So.-Fridley, MN). In 2018-2019, Miller and Glumac-Berberich once again competed in the National Championships, with Miller earning three All-American honors and the National Title in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Ryder also coached Sam Senczyszyn (Sr.-Grafton, WI), who also went to the National Championships and earned three All-American honors during the 2016-17 season.

In 2019-20, four Blugolds were slated for the National Championships but due to COVID-19, the NCAA cancelled all winter championships taking place in the spring of 2020.
