Grand Rapids, Mich. (Blugolds.com) - three members of the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire diving teams competed at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Central Regional Diving Championships over the weekend.
Dylan Glumac-Berberich (Fridley, Minn.) finished 6th in the 1-meter dive event with a total of 482.85 points placing him just short of the 5th place finisher. The 6th place finish advances Glumac-Berberich to the NCAA Division III Championships March 15-18 in Shenandoah, Texas. A total of nine divers from the central regional qualified for the championships. The first year diver also competed in the 3-meter dive event on Friday night finishing 20th overall.
Matthew McMahon (Eau Claire, Wis/ Memorial) also competed in the regional event, placing 25th with a total of 369.05 points in the 1-meter dive event and finished 26th in the 3-meter dive event.
UW-Eau Claire's women's diver Bailei Hughes (Winona, Minn.) competed in the 1-meter regional on Friday night fnishing 20th overall.
Glumac-Berberich will compete at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, March 15-18 in Shenandoah, Texas.
