Men's Swim and Dive dominates Titans

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's swimming and diving team hosted UW-Oshkosh on Saturday, defeating the Titans 166-66.

Logan Coert led the way for the Blugolds, winning two events on the day. Coert turned in winning times in the 200-yard freestyle (1:52.20) and 100-yard freestyle (49.38).

Tanner Olson took first in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:51.67) while Ryan Young won the 100-yard backstroke (55.70).

Ben Fisher clocked in with a winning time in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.55) while Jack Kelly won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.79.

Nicholas Meints was first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.43 and Conner Pendill won the 200-yard butterfly (2:09.97).

The Blugold 200-yard medley team of Kelly, Fisher, Andrew Strauch and Andrew Shane also took top honors with a time of 1:40.78.

"We had great swims today after two really tough weeks of practice," said Head Coach Annie Ryder. "They swam with a lot of energy and really supported each other as a team. It was great to get some racing in before our big invite in December. We had a lot of really great times and swims across the board."

Next up for the Blugolds is the Rochester Invite on Dec. 2-4.
