STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's swimming and diving team competed at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday, finishing third with 747 points.
Ryan Young (Jr.-Lakeville, MN/North) was the top finisher for the Blugolds, taking second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:56.28.
Thomas Hensen (Jr.-Delafield, WI/Kettle Moraine), Noah Gannon (Sr.-Plymouth, MN/Wayzata), Ben Fisher (Roselle, IL/Lake Park) and Logan Coert (So.-Cedarburg, WI) took third in the 200-yard freestyle relay, turning in a time of 1:28.42.
Fisher also finished third in the 50-yard freestyle (21.92) and fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.89) while Hensen was fourth in both the 100-yard backstroke (55.44) and 200-yard backstroke (2:04.17).
The Blugolds will travel to Whitewater next Saturday to compete against the Warhawks.
