Fifteen Blugolds earn points in dominant home win against Blue Devils

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey team was back on the ice Wednesday, as they hosted UW-Stout at Hobbs Ice Arena. After a dominant opening period, the Blugolds never let up on their way to a 10-2 victory.

Fifteen Blugolds found themselves on the scoresheet on Wednesday, including Ryan Green (Fr. – Muskego, WI) who gathered four assists. The first helper would be Green's first point in a Blugold sweater. Eau Claire started the game strong scoring three goals in just the first six minutes of the contest.

Nick Techel (So. – Wausau, WI/West) would open the scoresheet with a powerplay goal from the slot. Techel would add an assist and score a second powerplay goal in the second period for his first multi-point game of the season.

Andrew McGlynn (Jr. – St. Louis, MO/Christian Brothers College) also had two goals, which puts him tied for second for total points. Adam Parsells (Sr. – Wausau, WI/West) had a goal and two assists to join Nathan Dingmann (Sr. – Plymouth, MN/Wayzata) on top of the team with five total points. In just four games on the season, 19 different Blugolds hold at least one point to their name.

Zach Dyment (Sr. – Abbotsford,BC/Yale Secondary) stopped 16 of the 18 shots he faced to earn his second win of the year. He is now 2-1-0 on the year.

The Blugolds will dual against UW-Stout for the regular season series finale on Friday, February 19th. Puck drop is scheduled for 7pm in Menomonie, WI.
