HANCOCK, Mich. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey team faced Finlandia University for the second game of the two-game series on Saturday afternoon. Eau Clare wouldn't have the same outcome as they did the night before, coming back home with a 1-0 loss.
After a 4-3 victory the previous night, the Blugolds and the Lions would remain scoreless after one. In the second, the Lions would score 13 seconds into the period, which would prove to be the game-winner.
Eau Claire out-shot Finlandia 40-25 but were 0-5 on the power play.
David Johnson (Jr. – Bloomington, MN/Kennedy) took the loss in goal, recording 24 saves on the day.
