The Blugolds now improve to 5-2 in conference play to lock up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming WIAC Tournament sponsored by Culver's.

It didn't take long for the seniors to get involved as Jesse Tredinnick (Sr. – Onalaska, WI) gave the Blugolds an early 1-0 lead off a sweet pass from T.J. Stuntz (Sr. – Austin, TX) not even two minutes in. Parsells would be credited with the second assist.

The Yellowjackets would answer just over a minute later on a goal scored by Troy York to even things up 1-1.

After dominating most of the period in puck possession featuring multiple great scoring chances, the Blugolds would add a huge second goal with just 23 seconds left in the period on a goal scored by Alex Strand (So. – Roseau, MN) to make it 2-1. Parsells and Todd Koritzinsky (Sr. – Verona, WI) would be credited with assists on Strand's sixth goal of the season.

The Blugolds would lead 17-5 in shots on goal after one period of play.

UW-Eau Claire continued to dominate in the second period and used a whopping 25 shots on goal to pour things on.

Jack Murphy (Fr. – Prior Lake, MN) joined the scoresheet with his second collegiate goal on a deflection in front of the net to make it 3-1 with 14:33 left in the second period. Parsells and Koritzinsky would again contribute assists.

Kohls would find the back of the net for his first goal of the evening to make it 4-1 just under five minutes later. Murphy and Colton Wolter (Sr. – Fairbanks, AK) would get awarded with the assists on the goal.

The Blugolds would hold an incredible 42-11 lead in shots on goal after two periods of play.

Wolter, Kohls and Nathan Dingmann (Fr. – Plymouth, MN) would add three more tallies in the final period to counter two goals from Ian Ecklund for UW-Superior to cruise to the 7-3 win.

UW-Eau Claire would finish with the largest lead (56-17) in shots on goal for a game to date this season. A 3-6 night on the power play will improve the Blugolds' power-play percentage to 23 percent. Goaltender Zach Dyment (Fr. - Abbotsford, BC) made his 11th straight start in net for UW-Eau Claire and saved 14 of the 17 shots he saw on the night in the win to improve to 7-4 for the season.

The Blugolds (15-9-0, 5-2-0) will head to the road for their final game of the regular season against No. 2 UW-Stevens Point tomorrow night. UW-Eau Claire will be looking for a season split with the Pointers after dropping the first game at home in January.
