LEWISTON, Maine (Blugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire men's hockey player David Donnellan (Sr.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) has been named a 2014 CCM Division III All-American on the second team in the west, announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) tonight at the NCAA Division III Championship student-athlete banquet.
Donnellan, a defenseman and team captain, tied for second on the team this year with 19 points coming from nine goals and 10 assists. He tied for the third most points of any defenseman in the league.
Donnellan also tied for third on the team with two game-winning goals and led the team and was fourth in the WIAC with four power-play goals. Donnellan was named to the All-WIAC first team this year and was honorably mentioned on the All-WIAC team last season.
