EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire Athletics has announced that tickets are now on sale for the 2014 WIAC Men's Hockey Championship that will be played at Hobbs Ice Center Saturday, March 8 at 7 p.m. between UW-Eau Claire and UW-Superior.
Advance purchase of tickets is recommended because of the possibility of a sellout crowd.
The cost for students (including UW-Eau Claire students), seniors and youths (two and older) is $4 while the adult ticket price is $8. As per WIAC policy, the only passes that will be accepted are WIAC season and lifetime passes.
A total of 250 tickets are being reserved for UW-Superior fans until noon Saturday. Yellowjacket fans can order tickets by calling the UWEC Service Center and indicating they are Superior fans.
Tickets can be purchased at the UW-Eau Claire Service Center in Davies Center in person or over the phone at (715) 836-3727. They can be purchased in advance until Saturday (March 8) at noon. If any tickets remain after Saturday at noon, they will be available beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday at Hobbs.
The Blugolds, who were the No. 3 seed, advanced to the final of the WIAC Championship after beating No. 2 seed UW-Stevens Point in the semifinals of the WIAC Championship. No. 4 seed UW-Superior advanced by beating No. 1 seed UW-River Falls in the semifinals. The winner of Saturday's game will earn the WIAC title.
