MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire men's hockey goalie Tyler Green (So.-Noblesville, Ind.) has been named a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today.

Playing in one game during the weekend against No. 6-ranked University of St. Thomas (Minn.), Green stopped 39 shots playing all 60 minutes in-goal to give the Blugolds their sixth shutout of the season and fifth straight to set an NCAA Division III record.  The Blugolds beat the Tommies 2-0 as they ran their shutout streak to 319:28 going back to Dec. 13.  Starting nine games this year, Green now holds a 6-3-0 record as the Blugolds improved to 11-3-1.
