Selected to the first team from the west were Jack Callahan (So.-Red Bank, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy), Jordan Singer (Sr.-Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) and Brandon Stephenson (Sr.-Saline, Mich.).

Callahan, a defenseman in his first year with the Blugolds, has played in all 29 games so far this year. He has two goals and 16 assists, tied for third on the team. He is part of a defense that has given up just 64 goals and 873 shots while the Blugolds compiled 115 goals and 989 shots.

Singer, a forward, leads the Blugolds with 20 goals and 33 points. He is sixth on the team with 13 assists. His 20 goals is a league-high. He is currently 17th in program history for career points with 97 and tied for eighth with 53 goals. He is first in school history in game-winning goals with 11.

Stephenson, a goalie, leads the NCHA in winning percentage (.808) and ranks second in total saves (732). He was one of the busiest goalies in the NCHA and still managed to lead his team to victory on most nights. Stephenson led the NCHA in conference minutes played (1087:12) and save percentage (.930). He went undefeated from October 26 through December 1. In program archives, Stephenson ranks first in both career wins with 46 currently and season wins with 20 so far this year.

In history, just eight other Blugolds have received AHCA All-American honors, only four of which were first team selections. The last time anyone earned first team honors was in 1994-95 when Matt Loen was selected while the last time a Blugold was named an All-American was in 1996-97 when Bill Houck received second team honors.
