Jordan Singer Named WIAC Men's Hockey Athlete of the Week

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire men's hockey player Jordan Singer (Sr.-Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial) has been named a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week, WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today.

Singer scored three goals during the weekend to help guide the Blugolds to two wins and their first-ever WIAC championship and at least a share of their first-ever Northern Collegiate Hockey Association title.  On Feb. 1, he scored the Blugolds' opening goal at 4:13 in the first period and the Blugolds went on to win the game 4-3 and earn the WIAC crown.  On Feb. 2, he again scored the game's first goal at 5:59 in the first period and scored what eventually proved to be the game-winner at 5:42 in the third period as the Blugolds beat UW-River Falls 3-2.  For the season, he has 16 goals and 12 assists for 28 points.
