Mike Greer is no stranger to the UW-Eau Claire golf program. Greer served as an assistant and head coach for the Blugolds in the past and rejoins the men's coaching staff for the 2019-20 season.

A Class A member of the PGA of America and golf professional at the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club, Greer led the Blugold women to two second-place finishes in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in his tenure.

In his four years on the men's side, Greer had one player earn NCAA Division III PING All-America and another earn NCAA Division III All-Freshmen Honors, one of six in the nation to be recognized.  As a team, Greer coached the Blugolds to four tournament victories.

Greer is also a four-time letter winner for the Blugolds and received honorable mention All-American honors in 2004 and was named to the PING All-Central Region Team in 2007.

He resides in Eau Claire with his wife, Lissa, a Blugold volleyball alum, and their daughter, Grace.
