Men's Golf moves into 6th place after Rd. 2 of Golfweek DIII Invite

SANDESTIN, Florida (Blugolds.com) – After the second round of the Golfweek DIII Fall Invite, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team has moved up three spots and is currently in sixth place.

Results

The Blugolds turned in team score of 282 on Monday, shaving off eight strokes from Sunday's round. UW-Eau Claire holds a two-round total of 572 (+4) while Illinois Wesleyan also jumped three spots and now leads the field with a 559 (-9).

Cole Jahnke (So. – Stillwater, MN) led Eau Claire on Monday, shooting a 69 for a two-round total of 141, moving him up from tied for 30th to tied for 15th overall.

Alex Rogan (Sr. - Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) followed with a 71 and is now tied for 20th (143) while Isaac Prefontaine (Jr. – New Franken, WI/Preble) is tied for 39th (147) after shooting a 70.

Austin van Sytzama (Jr. – Delano, MN) recorded a 72 on the day to move into a tie for 51st (149) and Brady Thomas' (Sr. – Middleton, WI) 82 has him tied for 65th (151).
